Meet the Sick Witch🌙

Sagewolf Quartz, Your Sick Witch Guide

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! As The Sick Witch, I make blog posts and videos about being a Witch in the 21st century. However, I hope to bring new conversations and witches into the fold with my perspective, as I've noticed that Wicca is not always portrayed as something that is disability-friendly, trans-friendly or culturally sensitive. As an eclectic Witch, I will share the unique way I practice magic in my everyday life, as well as exploring topics and exercises that can the practice to a deeper, more socially inclusive place. I will also share my wisdom, healing and psychic powers with all who need it.

I found Wicca when I was about 12 years old, and I immediately connected with the practice's focus on nature, the power of energy healing and how animals are integral to leading happy and connected lives. Since my childhood was very painful, practicing the craft as a Wiccan (thanks to a Silver Ravenwolf book that was gifted to me by my aunt) was life-saving in many ways. It was through this practice that I first came into contact with the spiritual realm, and first developed skills with unconscious magick such as psychic dreams and lucid dreaming. This was also how meditation was introduced to me, which has been an integral part of my self-care ever since. My parents found my practice to be strange and threatening, to them personally and to the family's Catholic roots, so I gave up my craft around the time I started high school in order to avoid additional abuse. I have recently come out of the broom closet so-to-speak to my partner of 3 years, and at age 23 I am now finally living the full Wiccan life I've always known I needed.

At this time in my life, I am living with chronic Lyme disease, POTS, bipolar disorder and PTSD from childhood familial sexual abuse. Through herb magick, crystals, spiritual assistance, power animals and energy healing, I aim to heal myself and the world from fear, shame and disconnection.

This space and this community which I hope to build is open to all people. If you are a person of color who has felt disrespected or left out of witchcraft, this blog is for you. If you are a trans person who is tired of constantly hearing about the "Divine feminine" and strictly feminine pronouns with regards to witchcraft, then this blog is for you. If you are disabled and want to know how witchcraft can enrich both your physical and mental health, this blog is for you. I will do everything in my power to bring about meaningful discussion about the bullshit, and I will not shy away from critiquing problems and injustices present in the Wiccan community.

I respect all religions, and your belief or lack thereof in Wiccan or Pagan goddesses is irrelevant. All people are welcome to explore and benefit from all the healing and self discovery that practicing witchcraft has to offer. I welcome you with my whole heart into this space, and I hope you can walk away with something valuable for your own practices. Stay tuned for videos, where I'm happy to answer all of your questions about my craft and witchcraft in general!

Blessed be!
Sage
